Researching HARRIS surname in Williamson Co. The 1850 Williamson Co. IL
1850 census lists Thomas HARRIS, age 52, born NC; Francis HARRIS, age 52,
born SC; and Irwin HARRIS, age 19, born IL. Believe "Irwin"is actually "Emery"
Thomas HARRIS, my ancestor, who would have been 19, at time of the 1850
census. He was born in Illinois and his father was named Thomas HARRIS.
Does anyone have evidence to disprove my assumption? Ellen Moore

I am looking for a Sarah Oxford. She was born in 1844 in Johnton City, IL.
She married Francis Spong on September 30, 1865. They had seven children.
They moved and died in Hardin, Calhoun County, IL. I believe that they also
moved to Hardin shortly after they married. They might have even got
married
there. I am looking for Sarah's parents, family, etc. My great aunt believe
that she was an Indian girl. After her last child was born, Sarah died and
an Indian family raised him. Does anyone know of this family? thanks, Julie
