My great grandmother was Lunena Jane Williams b. 1859, probably in Ewing, Franklin County, IL. However, I do not find her in any of the two Williams families of that area. she married her second husband Marion Duty in Williamson County after 1878. (her first husband was James Lance b. 1855 Ewing, Franklin County, IL) I have most of the descendants of L. Jane & James and L. Jane and Marion. I am searching for her parents and siblings. |

Seeking info on James William TAYLOR, b. 1844 KY. He married Milliy Malone RAY in Williamson CO IL. They were on the 1860 Williamson CO IL census in twp Atilla. Also on the 1870 Jackson CO IL census James died in 1876 burried in Huricane Cemetery. Milly Malone Ray was born 1839 in TN. She was the dau of Will/Wiley/Wilson? RAY and louisa CARTER. Louisa was born in NC. She and children were on the 1850 Henderson Co TN census. Milly married William GLASS**** from Green Co TN.after the death of James William TAYLOR. William Glass**** was a res of Jackson CO IL. Milly and William`s marriage certificate info shows Milly`s mother as Louisa CARTER form Henderson Co TN and Willa RAY from Henderson CO TN. There was a Francis Marion RAY LIVING there. On the 1840 Henderson CO TN census there was a Wiley C RAY household and a Jiles/Giles RAY Near by on the 1840 census and a Milly RAY household (possibly a sis in-law to Wiley RAY. On the 1850 Lauderdale CO census there was a Milly RAY. She had a dau named Malone. This is interesting since the Milly RAY whom lived by Wiley RAY in 1850 Henderson CO TN was not found on that census in 1850 and the name of her dau Malone is interesting since my Milly dau of Will RAY was named Milly Malone RAY. Could be some connection. Milly M RAY and James W TAYLOR were the parents of (1) William T TAYLOR, m Ennzanie Jane CRAIG (2) Sylvenus Chester TAYLOR, Ellen HASTEY , (3) Winfield Scott TAYLOR (4) John L TAYLOR, m 1st Charlotte ARNOLD 2nd Lillie Pearl TERRY. (5) James Henry TAYLOR, m 1st Ella Nora FELTS 2nd Maussy? Ella Nora FELTS was the dau of Wyatt H FELTS from Robertson CO TN and Sarah Ann DUNCAN. Wyatt was the son of Harris D FELTS and Susan HARRIS BYRLE. Sarah Ann Duncan was the dau of Enoch N DUNCAN and Harriet Ann LEWIS. Enoch was the son of B.S. DUNCAN (Benjamin Spiller Duncan?) and Miss Trull. After the death of Harriet Lewis Duncan, Enoch married Elizabeth HENDRICKSON. http://www.zyworld.com/Precious3/ Rita |

A Thomas HARRIS, age 52, b. NC, was annotated on the 1850 Williamson Co. IL census, with female (probable spouse) Francis HARRIS, age 52, b. SC, and son, "Irwin" HARRIS, age 19, b. IL. I believe that "Irwin" is actually "Emery" Thomas HARRIS, my ancestor. Emery T. would have been 18/19 on 1850 census, and was born in IL. Does anyone have information on this family that would disprove my conclusion? Would like to hear from you. |
