Charles Edward and Delila King Wells
"Ed" and "Lilly" moved from
Kentucky to Johnston City, IL just before 1910. Delila was from Whitley co.,
Kentucky. Her parents were Thomas and Susan Jones KING. Thomas's parents were
Mathew and Delilah Blevins KING.
I am still seeking information
regarding the WELLS family. Ed was a coal miner and from census records it
appears that Ed was born in Mississippi but I have no other leads.

Daniel Underwood, b.1852 in MO, m.
Elizabeth Bradley 1871 in Williamson Co, d. 1914 Williamson Co, and came to IL

Reuben Underwood and Nancy Fry from Monroe Co MO. Daniel's death cert lists
his father's name as Reuben and his birthplace as MO, but can't find where
Reuben and Daniel are listed together. Daniel's death cert states he had been
in IL 55 years when he died at 62, but I don't know how Daniel came to IL when

Elijah, Gardner, James Munroe, Clyde Moore
We are looking for our
ancestors and relatives, and hope anyone with a connection to Elijah Moore
(1806-North Carolina) and his forebears and descendants will find your family
here. Our people were early settlers in Johnson County, Illinois, and we
welcome inquiries from any Moore family grouping. These webpages feature a
working descendancy chart and some old photos. The earliest Moores emigrated
from Ireland and England, so if you are from across the water please by all
means let us know how you are a Moore and what you know about the family
before 1806. Won't you please help us make connections and complete it with
your branches of the Moore family?
Our webpage is

I am also looking for any
information on my father Clyde J. Moore (born July 25, 1919). I will
appreciate and respond to any and all inquiries. Moore cousins will be helped
to find their family links if at all possible.

Dunns
I am desperately searching for my husband's family. I have
found through a census George W. Dunn m. Roxy Ann (no last name). George was
born in 1858 and I believe in or near Williamson County. They had 6 children I
know their 2nd child, Charles Esco, was born Dec 16, 1893 in Stone Fort. I
also found, through census research, George's father, John Dunn m. Paulina who
died then he married a Sally. All children born in Illinois, probably in
Williamson County. John was b. abt. 1810 in TN. Any help or other information
would be greatly appreciated!

Templeton/Martin
My mother was born in Carterville, Il in 1912 and
at that time her Mother belonged to a woman's club that took Native American
names as part of their ritual. My Mother was named Wenonah after the name her
Mother was given as part of this club. Can anyone tell me what club this might
have been and if it is still in existance?
My mother was Wenonah J.
Templeton Martin. Her biological mother was Jeannette Templeton, who died when
she was 10 years old. She was raised by Frank & Jessie Templeton Martin. I
would appreciate any information on this subject.
Thank you, Sharon

Drury;Twombly families
Any information on the following needed:
Anything at all. I have hit a snag.
Jane Bailey Peck md. 2nd to Charlie
Drury in 1884, Macoupin Co. Ill. and stated her father was John Rowan Bailey
and her Mother Margaret Adams. Jane and her mother buried at "little flock"
cem. or adventist cem. Williamson Co. (no, Margaret is not the Gr-grand. of
Pres. Adams as it states on the stone). Margaret, the mother, married again to
Nathaniel Twombly but I cannot find the marriage. It was his second marriage
also.
Charles and Jane Drury had children in home in 1920; Letty; Lizzie;
Frank; Maggie and a grandson William Miller; Carterville sec. 10. Who were the
parents of this William Miller? Anything on Bailey; Adams; Drury; Twombly
families appreciated.
