My great grandmother was Minerva Smith Bandy, daughter of Sterling Smith. She was married in 1848. She was half sister to Mary Roberts Parsons and Nancy Williams Crane. Does anyone have any information on this? Peggy

Austin Reeder Finley of Williamson County, Ill.
AUSTIN REEDER FINLEY and family
I am interested in finding anything I can on AUSTIN REEDER FINLEY and any other Finley family in the area. I know that he settled in Williamson Co. around 1838. By 1850 he was in Benton County, TN which is where my family line takes off. Austin was married to MARTHA CAROLINE SWOR. His parnets were THOMAS JONATHAN FINLEY and MARY(?)REEDER. boundaries
My stepfather recently visited a grandmother who
lives in this area. It's either here or in Marion
County. She lives on a property known as Snider Hill.
She told my stepdad that she had no idea where the
boundary is between her land and land that her husband
donated to a church which then turned it into a cemetery,
She hasn't a clue where she put the deed, and we were
wondering if this was on record somewhere. Any information
would be nice. Thanks!

I am searching for information on William Pleasant
(Ples)Smith and his wife Nancy(Maiden name unk),both
William and Nancy were born in TN and moved to
Williamson Co,date unk. They had at least two
children, Eliza Jane, b:Dec 1848 in Williamson Co.
and Joseph, b:abt 1851,I believe in Williamson Co.
These folks were found on the 1870 census. William
and family were living between a Robert Smith and
Daniel Carter. Eliza married Daniel on 8 Apr 1866
in Vienna, Johnson county. Any help would be
appreciated.

Birth Record
Would anyone down in Marion be willing to look up a birth record for me?
Looking for the birth of an infant daughter born to Clyde and Mabel Anice
Radcliff(e). I have a birth date of 14 July and need to confirm the year.
It would have been in 1914,1915 or 1916. I know the records were not
required at that time but was hoping? I would be willing to exchange some
research time in Springfield on this with whom ever might be willing to do

Looking for RADFORD family
I am looking for Quincy and Margaret (MCDOWELL) RADFORD. They are suppose to be buried in Rosehill in Marion (does anyone had a record of this cemetery?) Quincy was tried in Williamson Co. court on trying to murder his wife. Does anyone know anything about this? Margaret was born between 18996 and 18998 d//o Finis Albert MCDOWELL and Clara WILLIAMS MCDOWELL in Franklin County, Il. The RADFORD'S had no children. Margaret's death was in the 1840's. Malandrone-Perotta Families

Info on Grandmother
Want to find info on Lille Bains (Bain?)Strauss.
Born in Christopher?, Zigler? My mother, her oldest daughter of 6 kids (Wilma Lee Strauss Shelton) born in Christopher. My grandmother I believe died in 1970 or there abouts. did remarry in 50's or 60's but don't know last name?
All I know is that she was an orphan.
Can anyone help me find info on her? I think she was buried either in Herrin or Benton cemetaries.
My uncle Robert (Bob) Strauss was well known in Benton IL. Owned drive-in & theatre. Wife was Jo Strauss. Could grandmother be traced from Bob's death/birth records? Bob died in 79-80? or close to that. Thank you so much for the help.

Does anyone have a book on the burials at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion, IL.? I am looking for the burial of James and Flora Margaret Hardin. I would like to know when James Hardin died. Seeking any information on these families in Williamson Co. The Dungey's came to Williamson from Giles Co., TN and the Hudspeths were previously in Maury Cfo., TN.
